Retreat Plans - Reception Building

We will renovate the existing structure. The building has two stories with about 3,100 square feet per floor. A parking area will be in the front of the building. 

The layout of this building will have a reception area, recreation area, therapy rooms, laundry area, and restrooms. The second story will have four bedrooms for staff and a meeting area.  

The ten Cottages will be elevated above flood level. A walkway will connect the Reception Building, Cottages, and Tiki Hut. The area under the Cottages will be used for activities. 

Each room will be 504 square feet and contain a bedroom, bathroom, mini-kitchen, and seating area. The layout will allow the Veteran to move freely around the cottage. 

The Tiki Hut is a two-story gathering space. On the second floor there will be a kitchen, restrooms, and seating for up to 50 people. 

The Tiki Hut will have a commercial kitchen to serve meals to our guests. An elevator, ramp, and stairs will provide access to the Tiki Hut and pool area below.

The ground level floor will be a great area for the Veterans to get out of the sun while enjoying the activities. There will also be umbrellas and chairs available.  

The roll-in pool will have a shallow shelf to allow the Veteran or spouse to lounge in a water chaise. The pool will have a deeper area to take a plunge.
